Receptionist


Job Summary:

The position of receptionist consists of being responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages;
• Greet visitors
• Ensure field staff provides daily reports timely and efficiently;
• Receive and enter field staff’s time, daily footages, mileage and fuel information into accounting system from timesheets timely and efficiently.
• Organize employee paperwork and maintain weekly payroll sheet on Friday mornings, turn over to Karli Metcalf upon completion.
• File timesheets in the appropriate job file
• File all original timesheets once received, and discard copies timely and efficiently.
• Maintain and create new customer files
• Create a customer file for Information sheets, current unpaid invoices and completed/paid invoices.
• Request credit references. Retrieve and file.
• Retrieve timesheets for current bill outs; make copies for current payroll week.
• File copy of check in correct job file
• Assist others as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Safety Manager

Job Summary:

The position of Safety Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of the safety program. Must be aware of federal, state and local safety laws to ensure the organization complies with all regulations. Responsible for maintenance of safety and accident records.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes One Calls for all upcoming projects/jobs;
  • Monitors and schedules required employee drug screenings;
  • Maintain company records in ISNetworld, NCMS and Veriforce;
  • Coordinate and oversee any and all accident investigations, including line strikes;
  • Ensure that all accidents and/or line strikes are reported to the proper entities;
  • Oversee and implement all necessary employee training programs;
  • Conduct Weekly and/or Monthly safety meetings in the field and in the company yard facilities, including any daily toolbox talks;
  • Conduct periodic site and yard inspections;
  • Ensure that all employees are provided with required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);
  • Ensure that proper PPE supplies are on hand, and also handle all ordering of equipment;
  • Continually update and issue company safety manual and field books;
  • Update recordable incident data poster and website no less than monthly;
  • Ensure that all company vehicles are in compliance with Texas  Department of Transportation rules and regulations;
  • Ensure that required OSHA reports are prepared and filed;
  • Obtain driving records no less than annually;
  • Ensure that all company vehicles are equipped with required safety equipment;
  • Maintain CDL Driver files, and ensure that all requirements are being met and provided
  • Prepare and provide monthly mileage and fuel purchases by state for TxDOT;
  • Ensure that all requirements under FMCSA are being met;
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
  • Extensive knowledge of safety programs and standards;
  • Skill in the use of a computer and any applicable software.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

The position of Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping of the inventory while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receives inventory coming into the building by vendors accurately and promptly;
  • Verifies the quantity and description of parts or materials by checking merchandise against the packing list;
  • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies;
  • Accurately place materials on shelves, in the racks or in other designated storage areas in an orderly manner;
  • Enter quantity received against the purchase order in the computer system, i.e. QuickBooks;
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to parts or marks information on other containers;
  • Prepares work orders and fills work order to be sent out with mechanics or other staff;
  • Reviews all orders to determine if they were picked correctly;
  • Accurately identify and count inventory as listed in inventory spreadsheets;
  • Prepares estimates of parts needs and prepares request for replenishing parts;
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and maintain files and supporting documentation;
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area;
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required;
  • Knowledge of warehousing methods and procedures, of inventory and stock control;
  • Skill in the use of a computer and applicable software.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Competencies:

  • Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/ match orders on work orders to be picked;
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills;
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions;
  • Ability to operate forklift.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted;
  • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment;

Job Summary:

The position of Swamper consists of assisting the Operator as needed.  The Swamper works with the Operator to ensure that the assigned project timelines are being met and that all equipment and vehicles are being maintained to Company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that every job in progress is a priority and is completed within the expected/projected timeframe;
  • Confer with assigned Superintendent and Operator to coordinate operations and activities;
  • Ensure jobsite and company safety protocol is being met;
  • Daily understanding of where all flagged/marked lines are located;
  • Ensure that all lines are spotted and properly flagged;
  • Responsible for checking ditch depth as directed;
  • Pulls running lines;
  • Identify and notify Operator of any obstacles in the Operator’s digging path;
  • Inspect machine daily for cleanliness, any issues, etc.
  • Assist with required maintenance to machines and trucks at the end of every work day;
  • Assist with fueling machines and trucks and the end of every work day;
  • Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies;
  • Complete timesheets/daily logs timely and accurately;
  • Make sure you have what you need to perform your daily duties;
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Brief Description:
The position of Operator consists of operating heavy equipment machinery on designated jobs. The Operator ensures project timelines are being met and that all equipment and vehicles are being maintained to company standards.

Tasks:

  • Fuel your machine and truck and the end of every work day;

  • Complete timesheets/daily logs timely and accurately;
  • Obtain customer representative’s signature for your Daily Log Sheet;
  • Report any and all machine/equipment issues on a timely basis;
  • Make sure you have what you need to perform your daily duties;
  • Submit daily footage to Supervisor every evening;

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating Trenching and/or Heavy Equipment
  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • A current and valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Job Summary:
Positions for Diesel Mechanic (experienced) aka Service Technician – responsible for trouble shooting and repairing trenching equipment, boring equipment, service trucks, haul trucks and trailers,  including:

  • Hydraulic systems, including; pumps, motors, hydraulic components,
  • Air conditioning systems,
  • Mechanical components, including; digging drive components, undercarriage, and conveyor system.
  • Electrical systems
  • Engine components
  • Trailer and air brake systems

Duties & Responsibilities:
Technician is responsible for completing all service reports after the completion of a repair, to include the unit, the serial number, engine hours, and details of repairs made, with listing of parts used to complete repair.

Job responsibilities’ to include;

  • Maintain drivers log book, and performing pre trip inspections
  • Return unused parts in clean condition,
  • Keep the service truck clean and in good working order,
  • Clean work area during and upon  the completion of a repair,
  • Empty waste oil and filters into proper receptacle, and clean that area
  • Complete work orders after completing maintenance work.
  • Turn work orders into Service Department manager and discuss any additional work required on the machinery or truck.
  • Maintain all working tools and hand tools in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required;
  • Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics; electronics; and proper means and methods used in making repairs and maintenance.
  • Skill in the use of hand tools and mechanical tools;
  • Excellent skills in communicating with other employees and customers;
  • Self starter.
  • Welling to learn.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

  • Able to drive for extended periods of time.
